I had tasted soya or meal maker only in biryani. I like to cook soya nuggets rather than the bigger one.Soya nuggets is very small so that the masalas gets incorporated well.It is a quite filling breakfast/dinner when wrapped as a frankie.
Soya nuggets is bland so we have to add more spices.While boiling the soya nuggets we can add milk,cardamom to remove the smell of soya.Nowdays soya chura is also available which can be used to prepare soya kheema,soya paratha.
INGREDIENTS
Soya nuggets

Sambar powder

1 Tbsp

Cinnamon,cloves

STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Boil water in a sauce pan and add the soya nuggets.boil for 5 mins.Drain the water.
Once again boil water add a tbsp of milk.When it boils add the soya nuggets and boil for 3 mins.
Wash the soya nuggets in running water and squeeze the excess water from the soya.
Chop the onions,tomato finely.
In a pan heat oil and temper with cinnamon,cloves.Fry onion,curry leaves,green chilly,ginger garlic paste.
Add the tomatoes.Fry until it turns soft.
Now add sambar powder,salt.Mix well.
Sprinkle water and fry until the raw smell leaves out.
Now add the soya nuggets.Mix well.
Fry until the soya gets mixed with the masalas.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve as a accompainment for rice,roti.
You can also use garam masala along with sambar powder.
