I love to cook Green Capsicum only . Capsicum has a powerful smell which blends into the
Sambar . It goes well with Rice,Dosai,Idly.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Soak both the Dhals for 10 mins. This helps in cooking the Dhals faster.
Pressure cook the Dhals by adding Turmeric powder. Smash it after the dhals are pressure cooked.
Chop the Onions,Tomato,Capsicum into pieces.
In a kadai heat oil & add the items given under the "To Temper " table. Fry onions followed by Tomatoes,Green chilly.
Now add the Capsicum. Fry for a minute. Then Sambar Powder,Salt.
Pour the cooked Dhal water. Boil it for 5 mins.
Now add the smashed dhal.
Add the Tamarind water & allow it to boil.
Let it boil for 5 mins. Then remove it & granish with Coriander leaves.
