DAL TADKA

              Dal Tadka is a famous North Indian dish made with Toor dhal. It can also be prepared with Moong dhal. Hot steaming rice with Dal Tadka  along with spicy vegetable curry will be a complete meal.
INGREDIENTS

TOOR DHAL
½ Cup
TOMATO
1
GREEN CHILLY
1- 2
GRATED GINGER
½ Tsp
ASAFOETIDA
¼ Tsp
TURMERIC POWDER
¼ Tsp
SALT
To Taste
To Temper
JEERA
½ Tsp
RED CHILLY POWDER
½ Tsp
GHEE
1 Tbsp

Pressure cook the Toor dhal with Turmeric powder, Ginger,  Asafoetida,Ghee.

Heat a kadai with ghee and  temper with jeera (Use 1/4 Tsp). Then add the Tomato,Green chilly.

Pour the cooked dhal. Add Salt.

Allow it to boil for 2 mins. Add water according to the consistency you prefer.

At last temper with Jeera, Red chilly powder in ghee. Pour it over the Dal tadka.

Squeeze Lemon juice before serving.
