Prepare this hot & spicy Oats Kozhukattai for your family. I bet you that your family members will definetely won't believe that it is prepared with Oats.
The specific type of fiber found in Oats has many nutritional values. It reduces the risk of heart disease, lowers blood pressure. So it is good to add Oats in our menu.
INGREDIENTS
POWDERED OATS

RICE FLOUR
|
1 Cup

GRATED COCONUT
|
¼ Cup
|
SALT
|
To Taste
|
PEPPER POWDER
|
½ Tsp
|
IDLY MILAGAI PODI
|
1 Tsp
|
To Temper
MUSTARD SEEDS
|
½ Tsp
|
CHANNA DHAL
|
1 Tsp
|
OIL
|
2 Tsp
|
Mix powdered oats,rice flour,salt in a bowl.
Add warm water little by little and make a soft dough.
Make small sized balls out of the dough.
In a wide vessel boil water. When water starts boiling add five balls.
Wait for 2 mins then add next five balls.
Similarly add all the balls. After dropping all the balls check whether it is cooked by inserting a fork into the ball.
Then drain the water and keep the balls aside.
In a kadai heat Oil and add the items given under " To Temper " table.
Now add the Oats kozhukattai.
Sprinkle Pepper powder,Idy milagai podi
Switch off the flame and mix the grated coconut.
Hot & Spicy Oats Kozhukattai is ready.
No side dish is required.
