RAVA PONGAL


      This is the first time I am trying & tasting Rava Pongal. When you get bored of Rava Upma,Rava Kichadi try this Rava Pongal.
 For rich taste you can use Ghee,fried Cashews. Instead of having Ven Pongal try this Rava Pongal.

INGREDIENTS
RAVA
1 Cup
MOONG DHAL
1/3 Cup
TURMERIC POWDER
A Pinch
PEPPER
¼ Tsp
JEERA
¼ Tsp
GREEN CHILLY
1 (Optional)
GRATED GINGER
½ Tsp
WATER
3 Cups
SALT
To Taste
OIL
2 Tbsp

Dry roast the rava until nice aroma comes out.Pressure cook the Moong Dhal & keep aside.

In a kadai heat Oil/ghee & add Pepper,Cumin seeds,Ginger,Green Chilly (Optional).

Add the required water & allow it to boil. Then add Turmeric powder.

Then add the roasted Rava without forming lumps.

When Rava is cooked add the Moong dhal.Add salt.

Stir well in medium flame. Add Ghee,Cashew nuts.
