
             Masala Uthappam is  a  twist from the normal Onion Uthappam. The ingredients used are the simple ones available in your pantry. Though it is a simple Masala uthappam the aroma of Capsicum & Aloo tastes good.
When you are bored of your regular Uthappam try this for a change.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

In a kadai heat oil & add Mustard seeds,Cumin seeds. Allow it to splutter then add Onion,Green chilly,grated Carrot. Fry for 2 mins.

Add the chopped Capsicum.

Then add Red chilly powder,Turmeric powder,Garam Masala,Salt.

Sprinkle little water until the masala blends well.

Pressure cook the potato & peel the skin out. Smash the Potato .
Add the smashed Potato to the masala.

Mix well.

Masala is ready to spread . Prepare Uthappam with the Dosa batter & spread the Masala. 

Serve hot with Chutney.
NOTES
- After spreading the masala flip it for a minute & then remove it.
- You can also add Lemon juice for tangy taste.
- Ghee can also be added for preparing Uthappam to make it rich in taste.
