Chickpeas Tikki is a healthy starter. Chickpeas also known as garbanzo beans, belong to the legume family along with lentils provides good source of protien. It also reduces risk of heart disease and helps in weight loss.

Soak Chickpeas/Channa overnight. Pressure cook it by adding salt. Drain water & keep aside.
Grind the cooked Channa coarsely.
Transfer it to bowl.
Add grated Carrot,chopped Onion,Capsicum,Ginger. Mix well.
Now add Red chilly powder,Turmeric powder,Garam Masala powder (Optional),Cumin Powder,Salt.
Add Cornflour & mix well.
If needed sprinkle little water & knead it to a smooth dough.
Cover the bowl with a cling wrap & refrigerate for 30 mins. This will help the Tikkis to be firm while roasting.
Heat a tawa and place the Tikkis. Drizzile oil & toast till it turns golden brown on both sides.
You can serve it with Tomato ketchup.
I prepared a spicy dip with curd. Grind Cumin seeds,Green chilly into a coarse paste. Mix this paste into the curd. Add salt.
