PEAS BIRYANI

             When you run out of vegetables and if you want to prepare a one pot meal try this Peas Biryani. This can be packed for lunch Box.
You can easily prepare this for parties.

INGREDIENTS
BASMATI RICE
1 Cup
FROZEN GREEN PEAS
½ Cup
ONION

BIRYANI MASALA POWDER
½ Tsp
TURMERIC POWDER
A Pinch
COCONUT MILK
1 Cup
SALT
To Taste
To Temper
CINNAMON
½ Inch Piece
BAY LEAF
A small Leaf
CLOVES

STAR ANISE
A Small Portion
CARDAMOM

1 Tbsp
To Grind
COCONUT

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

Wash & soak Basmati rice for 30 mins.

In a pressure cooker heat Oil/Ghee ,temper with the ingredients given under "to temper" table.

Add the sliced Onion. Fry till it turns golden brown.

Grind the items given under "To Grind" table.

Add the grounded paste,Biryani Masala powder,Turmeric powder,Salt. Allow it to boil until water evaporates.

Add the frozen peas. Mix well.

Pour the 1 cup Coconut milk,1/2 Cup water. Then add the Basmati rice.

Mix well. Pressure cook it for 3 whistles.

When the pressure is released fluff it with fork.
