When you get bored of having oats in the form of porridge,try this OATS PONGAL. This taste is exactly the same as VEN PONGAL eventhough we replace rice by oats.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Cook the Moong dhal until it is soft.
Dry roast the oats until nutty aroma comes out. Keep aside.
In a kadai add oil/ghee temper with green chilli,Ginger.Then add the oats.
Add water & allow it to boil.
Now add Turmeric powder,smashed Moong dhal,Salt.
Crush the Pepper,Jeera coarsely. Sprinkle & Stir it.
Serve it hot.
Top it with Ghee.
NOTES
- Cashew nuts can also be added.
- Pepper,Jeera can be added as a whole.
