
          Poricha Kootu can be made with Avarakkai/Broad beans,Chow chow,Beans. This goes well with Vatha Kulambu/ Kara Kulambu or you can mix with hot steaming rice.

Wash & Chop the Beans.

Soak the Moong dhal for 15 mins.

       In a bowl mix Beans & Moong dhal together. Add turmeric powder and sprinkle little water. Place it in a pressure cooker and cook till 3 whistles.

Then add Salt to the mixture.

Take the ingredients for dry roasting.

Transfer the dry roasted ingredients to a mixie jar.

Grind it to a coarse paste by adding little water.

In a kadai heat oil & add mustard seeds.

Add onions & fry till it turns pink.

Mix both the beans,grounded paste.

Allow it to boil.

Transfer to a serving bowl.

It tastes divine with hot steaming rice.
