
This pulao is very easy to prepare since it needs no grinding part. Instead of making regular pulao or biryani try this one for a change.

STEP BY STEP PICTURES

Soak channa over night. Drain the water and keep aside. Soak basmati rice for 30 mins.

In a pressure cooker add oil. Throw in sombu, cinnamon, cloves,elachi,bay leaf.

Add onions.tomato. Fry till it turns transparent.

Now add the channa.Saute it for few mins.

Add Biryani masala,Red chilly powder,turmeric powder,Salt.

Pour 1/2 cup coconut milk & 1 Cup of water.Allow it to boil.

Now add the basmati rice. Close the pressure cooker and leave it for 2 whistles.

After the pressure is released mix it gently with fork. 

Granish with corainder leaves.

This can be packed for lunch box as well.

Serve hot with raita.
NOTES
Ginger garlic paste can also be added while frying onions.
